CASAS has received a seven-year approval from OCTAE for each of its three new test series! Your program will be able to use these new series once approval is published in the Federal Register and the series are incorporated into state assessment policies. For more information, contact info@casas.org.
Module 1 is an introduction to CASAS. This is an overview of the components of the CASAS system, administering and scoring tests, and interpreting test results. The module also directs agencies on how to get started with CASAS.
Module 4a covers how content standards, competencies, and task areas create the foundation of the CASAS integrated assessment and curriculum management system. They provide basic skills for successfully attaining learning objectives, life and work skills contexts, and various visual prompts. Understanding these components is essential to interpreting test results to inform instruction.
Module 4b covers how TOPSpro Enterprise (TE) provides several individual student and class reports that identify the underlying basic skills reading, math, and listening content standards for each competency assessed. These reports help instructors target appropriate instruction based on competencies and associated basic skills content standards.
